5x why you should NOT switch to a (new) ERP system
Purchasing an ERP system? Mwah... Many organizations hesitate for a long time about purchasing an ERP system. Here are the five most commonly heard counterarguments.
Of course, we at Logres are enthusiastic about ERP systems. But we understand very well that you don't want to switch overnight and that sometimes there can be good reasons why you don't want to switch (yet).
When we talk to potential clients, we hear many of the same arguments. We've listed the most important ones for you:

1. ERP systems are expensive
Indeed, ERP systems are pricey. Not only do you pay a monthly cost per user, but (especially) the implementation and consultancy involved.
There is also, of course, a cost in the internal hours that must be incurred to get the system up-and-running.
2. An ERP implementation is a lot of work
One should not think lightly about an ERP implementation. The process often takes from several months to as much as a full year.
During this period, your employees must provide constant input, in the form of data and process descriptions. In addition, they have to do a lot of testing and consultation. In short: a lot of work!
3. An ERP system makes things more complicated
Your business is running nicely. Employees know what to do and have been doing it the same way for years.
So why integrate an ERP system that changes business processes and requires many adjustments from your employees?
4. My company is too small for an ERP system
Does your company consist of few employees? Congratulations!!! Then implementing an ERP system is little work and the costs are not that high either....
Switch to an ERP system to get rid of inflexible Excel documents and poorly secured data traffic all at once. Or switch to always have real-time insight: wherever you are.
5. We can do without an ERP system
Of course you can do without an ERP system! But not without internal communication, right? Not without sharing data and documents. Nor without oversight, insight and management decisions that are based on something other than a gut feeling....
