René knows everything about Wholesale ( formerly Unit4 Wholesale and before that Unit4 Multivers Wholesale or Unit4 Multivers Extended). He knows the package inside and out. For years he worked with the package himself in various roles at previous employers. Early this year he switched to Logres: 'I want to help other people with my knowledge about this package!'
As a senior business consultant, René has a varied job. He visits and advises customers, he staffs and coordinates the support desk, and he trains customers and new employees in the intricacies of the package and related business processes.
'I immediately said at my job interview: I don't want to do the same thing every day. That turned out to be a great option at Logres. They really thought along with me and built a profile on my knowledge and experience.'
Short lines
Not only does René know exactly what Wholesale can and cannot do: he also knows the team working on the package at Kerridge well. It's a short line. From previous jobs, I know many of the people there and they know me: that's a nice connection!
René is enthusiastic about Wholesale. "This is simply an ERP package that has been well thought out. It was partly built from customer requirements. As a result, it is packed with smart and useful functionalities that really save wholesalers money and time.
It is so complete that sometimes users have not yet discovered half of it, also because further development continues apace. I like to explain to them how they can take even better advantage of the functionalities it contains.
Strengths and pitfalls
René: 'Precisely because of the many possibilities, good consultancy is important. You can set everything as you wish, but you need good advice during implementation. All those settings (parameter settings) are a strength and a pitfall. If you don't set it up properly, the customer suffers.
For me, the challenge is to advise a client in the best possible way. If I have really helped a client further with a clever piece of automation, then I go home satisfied at the end of the day!
