Around December 13, Unit4 releases the latest version of Unit4 Multivers: Unit4 Multivers 10.10. This new version includes changes to make the increase in the VAT rate from 6% to 9% as easy as possible for you.
The main change is, that in the new version of Unit4 Multivers it will be possible to have the VAT increase take effect on a date entered in advance.
In other words, you can enter the date of January 1, indicating that on this date the VAT amount should change from 6% to 9%. The increase will then be automatically implemented on January 1.
Would you rather not update your package to version 10.10 yet? Even then it is possible to change the VAT rate. However, this requires several actions. In this pdf you will find a manual of how to proceed to realize this.
Testing
If you do plan to implement the new update, we recommend that you do so as soon as possible. You can first download the new version on the test environment and test the VAT increase extensively there, before permanently "turning on" the new version.
These are mainly situations that span the transition to the new rate, such as orders booked in 2018 and billed in 2019 or the crediting of transactions from 2018 in 2019.
If you use the API for links to external systems, it is important to properly test these links as well, since changes have been made to the API as well.
