Bas himself worked for a wholesaler with catering products for ten years in various roles: from sales to controller. 'That background means I can understand many of Logres' customers well. I know a lot about processes that run in wholesalers. In ten years I have seen something of every department. So I understand where the priorities lie and where the risks are. That makes me a good interlocutor for our customers.

Knowledge of business

Bas is enthusiastic about the level of knowledge at Logres. "The strength of Logres is that the team is so diverse. All my colleagues are all-round, but we also have our specialties. For example, we have financial specialists on our team, people who know a lot about logistics processes, and in-house developers who can make adjustments to the software or links, where necessary.

By working well together and letting each other see eye to eye, we can add value for the client. 'Short lines' may sound very cliché, but at Logres it really is the case that we know how to find each other when we need a sparring partner. That's great!

Fast switching

Not only are the colleagues diverse: so are the customers. Bas: "That's the challenge of this profession. You get to know for different kinds of companies in a short period of time and get a glimpse of everything. That is enormously fascinating. But you have to be able to change gears quickly: I've learned that since I started working at Logres.'

According to Bas, SAP Business One fits well with the different customers Logres serves. "This ERP package is simply enormously flexible. By default, it already contains a huge number of functionalities that make working more enjoyable and easier. But the flexibility also makes each SAP Business One installation unique. Where adjustments with other packages are quickly complex and sometimes involve expensive customization, SAP Business One can very easily 'bend along' to the customer's specific wishes and requirements.

Helping customers grow

Bas: "I am by nature someone with a high sense of responsibility and an eye for detail. I like to leave things tidy and don't easily settle for less. This job also challenges me every day with new customers and new processes that need to be automated.

I'm always discovering great new applications that our customers can put to good use. I then share that knowledge and help customers grow further with the help of automation. Nice work!
