SAP has published a new roadmap for SAP Business One. In this roadmap, SAP shows what the ERP platform is focusing on in the coming years and what innovations are coming. The common thread is clear: a more modern user experience, more intelligence in the system and a stronger focus on cloud and integrations.

Web Client

An important development is the further expansion of the SAP Business One Web Client. This browser-based interface is gaining more and more functionality previously available only in the traditional desktop client. SAP ultimately wants users to work more and more via the Web environment. This provides a more modern user experience and makes it possible to work with SAP Business One anywhere and on any device.

In addition, SAP is explicitly investing in more intelligence within the ERP system. Think of applications of AI and machine learning, for example, for better predictions, smarter analyses and faster detection of deviations in processes. This allows organizations to gain faster insight into their data and make more informed decisions.

BTP platform

Integration with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) also plays an important role in the roadmap. This platform makes it easier to link SAP Business One with other systems, develop new apps and further automate processes. This makes the ERP system increasingly flexible and easier to fit into a broader IT environment.

Finally, SAP is pushing further into cloud capabilities. Making Business One more compatible with modern cloud technology will make the system easier to scale, more manageable and more accessible to organizations that want to work flexibly.

Future-proof

The March 2026 roadmap shows that SAP Business One continues to evolve as a future-proof ERP platform. With a more modern interface, more intelligence and better integration capabilities, it helps companies work more efficiently and gain quicker insight into their business processes.
