SAP Business One continues to evolve. With Feature Pack 2602 (FP 2602), a number of improvements have been rolled out that make daily work just that little bit smarter, faster and clearer.

No big turnaround, but useful steps forward. We list the most important ones for you - and above all: what they can do for you.

1. Large Excel imports, just in the Web client

Do you work with many items, batch or serial numbers or business partners? Then you are probably familiar with it: Excel files that have to take detours before they are in SAP.

FP 2602 allows you to import directly from Excel into the Web Client.

Each line in your Excel file is automatically processed as a separate object. Especially with Business Partners, this is set up flexibly: you can work with one file and one tab, multiple tabs or even multiple files. This saves manual work, reduces the chance of errors and makes bulk updates or cleanups a lot faster.

2. More overview of your processes with Process Maps

One of the most visible additions in FP 2602 is Process Maps. With it, you make business processes visual and clickable.

SAP already provides two commonly used processes by default:

• Quote-to-Cash (from quotation to invoice)
• Procure-to-Pay (from procurement to payment).

In practice, this means less searching through menus and seeing more quickly what the next step in a process is. This not only makes working more pleasant, but also ensures that colleagues work more consistently. Especially for new users, this is a nice way to get familiar with SAP Business One.

Do you work with deviating processes? Then you can also create your own process maps that match your way of working, including user rights and responsibilities.

3. Know immediately if something is available (ATP).

A new Availability to Promise (ATP) app has been added in the Web Client. This helps you with one of the most frequently asked questions: do we have this in stock?

While creating sales documents you will see:

• Current stock
• Open sales
• Incoming goods

If an item is not immediately available, you can immediately see whether it is available in another warehouse or whether a suitable alternative exists. This allows you to make realistic agreements with customers and avoid surprises afterwards. Especially for sales and planning, this is a useful addition to the daily work.

4. Export sales documents with PDF and XML

You can now export sales documents as PDF with XML attachment. Useful if you work with:

• Electronic invoicing
• EDI links
• Business partners reading XML directly

XML files can be read directly into other ERP or accounting systems, ensuring smoother administrative processing and less manual work on both sides. Thus SAP Business One connects better to automated administrations at customers and partners.
