Are updates performed automatically?

No. Updates to SAP Business One are not implemented automatically. As a Logres customer, you will receive notification from us as soon as a new update is available.

You are entitled to updates if you have a valid maintenance contract, but installation requires support from our specialists. This way we ensure that everything is properly tailored to your specific setup and business processes.

We take add-ons, customizations and integrations into account to ensure the continuity of your operation.

Should you perform every update right away?

Not necessarily. We advise our customers to update about once every two years. In doing so, we check together whether there is a functional or technical need.

Some updates contain important security patches (security updates) or performance improvements, while others just bring new features or an improved user experience.

Important to know: the longer you wait, the bigger the step becomes. Sometimes multiple intermediate steps are then required, and that makes an upgrade more costly and complex. Plus, working with an outdated version can mean security risks when it comes to storing your data.

When do I need an update?

There are several signs that may indicate the need for an update:

• You're working on a version that will soon no longer be supported by SAP.
• New features align well with your current business needs.
• You notice that your system's performance is lagging.
• There are compatibility issues with new software or hardware.
• You want to comply with new laws and regulations that are only supported in recent versions.
