Three big changes in Wholesale summer 2020

Update 51 included many small improvements that enhance Wholesale's ease of use. But behind the scenes, Unit4's developers are working through some major changes the entire package will revamp and improve.

Flexible product screens

Until now, product screens had a fixed design with a fixed order of data. However, it was possible for users to create a customized info screen through the information profiles, in which only the data relevant to you were displayed in an order that was most convenient for you. However, you could not make changes to this.

However, Unit4 is working to make both the standard product screens and later sales orders 100% flexible. So you can set up these screens as you like best and make changes in the same screens.

This saves a lot of work, especially when you need to create products. You no longer have to go through the fixed sequence of basic product - assortment product - supplier product - additional product data: you see all the information on one screen. Faster, clearer and less effort for you.

Product API can only synchronize changed products

Many companies use Wholesale's product API to display their products on online platforms, such as the 2BA platform in particular, which technical wholesalers use.

Until now, when a change was done to the product range, the API could show 1 product or immediately synchronize the entire product range. This took a lot of time and data capacity.

However, the revamped REST API now makes it possible to synchronize only recently changed products, which means that your products are always displayed up-to-date and available faster on external platforms. This is almost guaranteed to earn you additional orders. After all, this gives you a speed advantage over companies using an old SOAP API!

Continuous Delivery of updates for each customer

We reported on it earlier: Unit4 has been working for months on a platform that will allow updates to be automatically pushed to Wholesale users. This job is now just about finished.

The platform is ready, the pilots have been run. From now on, any Wholesale customer can be connected. That way, updates are automatically pushed to your company and always installed correctly at a time of your choosing. This no longer requires manual operations and also no technical but only functional guidance from a Logres consultant. Requests for custom updates can now be made and tracked entirely via the Continuous Delivery portal.

Moreover, the advantage is: you always use the most recent version of Wholesale and automatically benefit from all the advantages it brings. In fact, with every update, Unit4 delivers new functionalities based on current customer requirements. In the coming months, we will contact you to connect your company to the agent as well.
