Unit4 is constantly improving Wholesale. The latest update brings small improvements for users of the system, with a big impact on ease of use. We list them for you.
Update 51 is an update that fulfills numerous long-held user desires. We list them by department.
Financial administration
- You probably recognize this situation: after receiving items, you need to check whether they match the invoice. However, a mistake is easily made. Sometimes the purchase reconciliation is approved, after which it turns out that things are not correct. From update 51 it is now possible to reverse the purchase reconciliation after it has already been financially processed. This removes the entire transaction or journal entry from the transaction in question.
- Has a journal entry gone through the closing of the day or not yet? You can see this at a glance with a clear message. If you try to open the selected journal entry in the booking program, you will now get a clear message explaining why this is not possible.
- Starting with Update 51, additional export options to Excel have (once again) been added to Wholesale. These allow you to easily analyze and present data. The export options include, for example:
- Interim account (costs to be reconciled for shipments)
- Accounts receivable balance list
- Accounts Payable Balance List
Sales
- Discounting is one thing. But discounting too much is not smart. Previously, you would see a popup warning you if there was too little margin left on a sales order. In practice, that didn't always prove useful. The message was sometimes clicked away and then accidentally forgotten. As of update 51, an order line is now highlighted via a warning color, so that when browsing through the orders, you immediately notice which lines do not meet the price control percentage.
System Administration
- If you enter shipment data in Wholesale, until now you could only view and use it yourself. A new API link now makes it possible to make this data accessible to your customers, for example via your website. So clear information about the status of the shipment of the purchased product.Unit4 is also considering building an API with which Wholesale can fully communicate with software from shipping companies and other suppliers. Would you have a need for this? Tell us about it!
- Do you occasionally build your own query or custom reports? Then it is good to know that the database help has been renewed. From now on, you can clearly see for each table to which module it belongs. In addition, you get an explanation of the function of the table and its relationship to other database data. Much more user-friendly.
- Do you sell your products via Bol.com? Wholesale is working on an API with which the costs (for mediation, packaging, etc.) and outstanding items can be processed directly in Unit4. This no longer requires manual operations.
