Unit4 is constantly improving Wholesale. The latest update once again brings users of the system many great new improvements, with a great impact on ease of use. We list them for you:

Continuous Delivery

It was probably already known to you; Unit4 has been working hard on the Continuous Delivery platform that allows updates to be automatically pushed to users SP6 users of Wholesale. The platform has been running successfully for several months now.

To request and distribute updates, from now on you can no longer use the old download site. We would also like to point out that support for SP5 has officially ended. If you want to use Continuous Delivery you will have to run on version SP6.

Fixed email attachments

As a user, you probably want to be able to attach documents as additional attachments to an e-mail such as:

• Delivery terms with an order confirmation
• A promotional leaflet with a sales offer
• A return form with an order confirmation

As of update 56, this is possible via document formatting by drag and drop. Did you know that this is also possible per language? Unit4 is also working on the possibility to send invoices in the attachment of your reminders in the near future. Useful if you want to attach the invoice immediately when your customers receive a reminder. This way, you will no longer receive questions about invoices and it will encourage faster payment.

Rest API sales orders

Wholesale is unlocking more and more data. If you want to retrieve sales orders from Unit4 via the REST API, you can now retrieve only changed orders.

A GET action on the salesOrders message allows you to filter by the "Sysdate". This can limit a selection to only the changed sales orders.

Blocking of products by country

Are you looking for an option to restrict product sales for certain countries? It is now possible to define for each product that a product cannot be sold in certain countries. If a restriction has been defined, when entering a sales quotation or sales order, a restriction notification is given if the delivery address is in the country
for which the lockout has been defined.

Have free text types purchase order line filled with product note

Do you recognize that you would like to enter product text in the language of your supplier and transfer it to the purchase order line? As of update 56, it is possible to define a free memo type for the product, enter it in your supplier's language and have it transferred to a free text type in the purchase order via the purchase order type. So very easy if you would like to copy and print your specific product texts on your purchase orders.

Changes in tables

Do you build your own queries and find it difficult to use product translations, attributes or text from your database? (Resp. tables af-801, af-810, af-317 and af-150).

As of this update, the way texts, translations and attribute values are stored has been changed. This may affect existing queries and self-created reports, so they will have to be adjusted once. Big advantage is that the queries will perform better from then on and are easy to build. If you need help customizing existing reports, feel free to contact us.

Expanding database help

Following on from building queries; did you know that as of update 54, the database help has been completely renewed and expanded in subsequent updates? The database help can now be found via menu application management-query designer and has all information again about the table structure of Wholesale. This has become very clear and can now be accessed conveniently from within Wholesale itself.

Transsmart fields in EDI messages

Do you work with EDI and with Transsmart? If so, some fields could sometimes contain too few characters. Unit4 has now extended these field lengths. The fields in question are:

• organization name
• contact
• phone number
• email address
• transsmart costcenter

Because the lengths have changed, if you are using these fields,
notify your EDI provider so they can update your translation table.

What is Unit4 currently working on for the upcoming sprint?

Flexible screens

Unit4 is working to make both the standard product screens flexible. You can arrange these screens as you like and make changes in the same screens. This will be extended further and further, so that soon you will be able to design your own sales order screen, etc.

Adding multiple order costs to orders

Do you use not only one type of cost in your sales orders but multiple costs such as freight costs plús order costs or costs based on weight? Unit4 is going to make sure that from now on you can include order costs multiple times per sales order.

Origination prices and discounts

Want to see at a glance what a price and/or discount is based on? You can do this directly from the order line itself without having to click through to a separate screen.

Customer delivery date (ETA) per order line.

The focus in Unit4 is still often on "when can we deliver". As a wholesaler, it is also essential to be able to calculate when the goods will be at the customer's doorstep (ETA). Unit4 is going to make more extensive provisions for this.
