CompuTec Batch Traceability 360 plugin for SAP Business One: never search for your batch again
It's a manufacturer's nightmare. One of your batches is used in multiple manufacturing processes and may have even already been shipped to one of your customers, but it turns out to have a critical error. The batch must be retrieved and as quickly as possible. But how?
CompuTec Batch Traceability is a new plugin from CompuTec (the makers of ProcessForce). This plugin for SAP Business One helps manufacturers and wholesalers gain better than ever insight into where batches or their components are and how they are being used.
This plugin helps products and wholesalers understand better than ever where batches or parts of them are and how they are being used.
Traceability becomes more important every year in production processes and in wholesale and retail trade. Increasing quality requirements from both end users and governments are forcing producers and wholesalers to have a clear picture of where their products, semi-finished products or production batches are used and distributed.
How does Batch Taceability 360 work?
Batch Traceability 360 allows you to filter all batches and easily search for the batch that is causing problems. Each batch has a separate page with three tabs.
Overview
If you click on the Batch found, you will see on the OVERVIEW tab listed:
- All complaints about the batch
- Customers who bought the batch
- Batch deliveries (with map view).
- Return of goods related to the batch
- Related credit invoices
- Products affected by the batch
- Stock related to the batch
- Production orders related to the batch (both at earlier and later stages of the batch life cycle)
Trace
On the TRACE tab you can see per batch which production steps preceded it and what the next steps were in the production process. You can check each step perfectly and take a closer look. You can also easily click back and forth between related batches.
Through the display, best seen in the video below, it is clearer than ever where your batch is in the production process and what is affected by it.
Action
The third tab is called ACTION. Here you can change the status of the batch to Locked at the touch of a button, so that the batch can no longer be used no matter where it is in the production process.
Just as easily you can release the batch again with Released or change it to Not Accessible. You can perform this action for 1 batch, but also for several batches at once or even all related batches at once.
Why we recommend Batch Traceability 360
The strength of Batch Traceability 360 is its simplicity and its clear display, which is best viewed in the video below.
Batch Traceability 360 was deliberately set up by CompuTec separately from ProcessForce and can be used in SAP Business One, as well as on a separate tab in the browser.
